Position Overview We are seeking an energetic and career-oriented individual who will be responsible for performing sampling and testing associated with environmental field work. Specific assignments are received from a superior and, when other than routine, are accompanied by oral or written instructions. Work is performed under the general direction of a professional geologist, engineer, or project-specific manager; however, as experience is gained, greater independence is allowed in carrying out recurring assignments. Key Responsibilities This position supports day‑to‑day field operations and associated office tasks, with a primary focus on hands‑on technical work. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Performing environmental sampling activities, including the collection of air, water, soil, and sediment samples, in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols. Installing, operating, inspecting, and performing routine maintenance on remediation and monitoring systems. Assisting with field coordination and documenting the activities of subcontractors under the direction of project staff. Completing required field paperwork, logs, daily activity reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Supporting data review, basic data organization, and assisting with report preparation under supervision. Responsibilities also include environmental compliance assistance for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and governmental clients and other environmental engineering duties as assigned. Qualifications Candidates should have the ability to safely work independently and in teams while consistently following specific instructions and guidelines; effective communication skills, both verbal and written; exceptional diligence; and a clear driving record. The position requires regular travel with frequent overnight stays. Candidates should be capable of documenting daily work activities in a clear and organized manner. A minimum high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. This is an entry‑level position (0 to 2 years of experience), and no prior experience is necessary; however, candidates must demonstrate the ability to understand and follow both written and oral instructions.
