Relationship Banker I At Regions, the Relationship Banker I is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and over the phone, and for contributing to the financial wellness of our customers. This role seeks individuals with prior teller, banking, or retail sales experience who aim to build a career with growth and upward mobility. Primary Responsibilities Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller transactions. Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests such as new or replacement cards, information changes, PIN resets, reordering checks, and basic problem resolution. Develop relationships with customers, staying informed about their relationship with the bank. Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM offerings. Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution. Refer customers to an internal team of experts when more complex financial goals and needs are recognized. Follow all bank processes, procedures and regulations, managing operational risks as a branch team member. Achieve branch targets by identifying customer needs and providing guidance on Regions' solutions. May conduct outbound phone calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to educate customers on emerging technology and assist with meeting their financial needs. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Ability to work Saturdays as needed. Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions. Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels. Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds. Preferences One year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience. Skills and Competencies Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assistance with digital banking offerings. Handling multiple priorities simultaneously. Oversight of large sums of cash. Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish (preferred). Other factors directly impacting pay include experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and performance.
