Upscale Host/Hostess Position

We are seeking experienced upscale Host/Hostess to become an integral part of our new concept in Westside Village!

As a Host/Hostess you are the main point of contact for and with our guests, guiding them through a great experience every day. Your mission is to create a personalized and memorable experience with every interaction, creating a deep bond with each guest, providing a friendly & cheerful place for all guests by delivering exceptional service and world-class hospitality.

As a Host/Hostess, you will interact with our guests' personifying our company's philosophies, values and guiding principles, serving as the champion of the "Hospitality First" vibe.

Daily Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Communicates with all Managers/Chef de Cuisine to receive updates on food & beverage features and station assignments
• Prepares and sets assigned sections including booths, community tables, tables and the patio for The Woodall guests prior to the shift
• Maintain reservation book, assign server sections with a manager, and confirm seating flow
• Confirm reservations for the following day
• Add guest notes of preference, and requests
• Places table settings and silverware rolls at each place setting to prepare table for guests
• Inspects building exterior by walking around the building to identify areas that may require immediate cleaning
• Organize and maintain restroom cleaning schedule
• Performs additional duties including emptying trash and cleaning restrooms to ensure The Woodall is organized and prepared
• Executes The Woodall's Top 3 priorities: Door, running F&B and answering phones
• Greets guests, introduces self, and presents guests with menu to welcome them
• Answers questions a guest may have regarding food, beverages.
• Runs food from expo to guests
• Observes guests' body language to anticipate guests' needs to add value to the guests' experience and promote repeat business
• Listens to guests' complaints and comments and informs the manager
• Thank the guests, bid a fond farewell and invites them to return as they leave The Woodall
• Sweeps floors in dining area, lobby, etc., with a broom to remove trash and to maintain cleanliness of The Woodall
• Monitors dining room tables to ensure they meet or exceed standards (ex. proper table symmetry, non-streaked glassware)
• Prepares tables for each party of guests by removing dirty dishes and linens, sweeping floor and wiping seats around table, and resetting table with fresh paper and clean dishes
• Carries dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware out of dining room and bar to the dish area for cleaning
• Assists other team members and guests as needed to ensure teamwork
• Inspects and maintains restrooms by replenishing toiletries, wiping down surfaces with a sanitized cloth and cleaning up spills to ensure clean, well-stocked restrooms
• Ensures that tables are set and dining room is immaculate before the start of the next shift
• Completes all closing duties, including stocking, cleaning, etc., as assigned
• Checks out with a manager before leaving to ensure all duties and side work have been completed and performed to standard
• Reads work schedule to determine when next shift and work time will occur

Requirements:

• Entry level acceptable – One year high volume Host/Hostess experience preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Must be minimum age to serve alcohol and able to obtain county liquor license
• Authorized to work in US
