Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Jacksonville, Florida. This position involves providing specialized cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, trauma, and vascular surgical care within a Level 1 trauma facility. The role demands flexibility, including some weekend work and call responsibilities. Job Details Certifications, Education, Degree, Location, and Years of Experience: Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN license (must be included in submission file), BLS required, ACLS preferred at time of submission, and at least 2 years of RN experience, including recent cardiac (open heart) experience with at least 12 months at a major metropolitan or Level 1 trauma facility. Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Additional responsibilities include covering cardiac, neuro, orthopedic trauma cases, and vascular surgeries. Ability to scrub and circulate is preferred. Candidates must pass a basic specialty competency exam and EKG interpretation with an 80% minimum score, including correct identification of 100% of lethal rhythms. Candidates must have recent travel experience and no employment gaps over 30 days without documented explanation. Submission requirements include a resume with facility type, EMR system, bed count, a recent professional reference, and verification of licensure. Flexibility is essential; candidates should be able to cover varied case types including trauma and vascular surgeries, work some weekends, and participate in call rotations. Unit manager interviews are required. Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (ACHA) processing can take up to 14 business days. No RTO (Request for Time Off) is permitted during the first two weeks of any new assignment and a maximum of 8 RTO days is allowed during the 13-week contract.
