You'll safely navigate the highway and city streets, back into tight docks, and unload with precision.The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.\nKey Responsibilities\n\n Safe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.\n Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight.\n Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.\n Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.\n Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.\n Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.\n Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.\n\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\n Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.\n Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.\n Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.\n Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.\n\n\nQualifications\n\n Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*\n Must be at least 21 years of age.\n Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.\n Minimum6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR3-months commercial driving experience in the foodand/or beverage delivery industryrequired.\n Ability tooperatemanual transmission preferred; may berequiredin specific locations.\n Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.\n\n\nAbout US FOODS®\nClick here to learn more!\n\n*Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation.
