Information Security Manager

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in a related discipline, or an additional 4 years of direct experience in place of the degree.
• We require at least 6 years of relevant Information Systems Security experience.
• We require at least 4 years of experience working in an SCI environment.
• We require compliance with DoD 8570.01-M certification standards within 6 months of hire for Information Assurance Technician Level 3 and Information Assurance Manager Level 2.
• We require completion of training in Joint Security Implementation Guidance (JSIG), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM).
• We prefer at least 2 years of SAP experience.
• We prefer working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• We prefer familiarity with security policies, manuals, ICDs, JAFANs, DoD manuals, and related governing documents.
• We prefer the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a wide range of DoD, military, civilian, and industry stakeholders.
• We prefer a high degree of initiative, creativity, and independent judgment with minimal supervision.
• We prefer willingness to travel within the organizational area of responsibility, potentially extensively by air and ground.
• We require a current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• We require eligibility for access to Special Access Program information.
• We require willingness to submit to a polygraph.

• We oversee the development, implementation, and assessment of information system security policies, with a strong focus on integrating existing SAP network infrastructure.
• We analyze network security using certification and accreditation frameworks such as DCID 6/3, DITSCAP, DIACAP, JSIG, and NISPOM Chapter 8, and we advise the customer on related IT accreditation matters.
• We develop procedures for responding to security incidents and for investigating and reporting violations and events.
• We ensure proper protective or corrective actions are taken when incidents or vulnerabilities are identified.
• We evaluate threats, vulnerabilities, system changes, environmental factors, and operational needs to determine whether additional safeguards are needed and whether accreditation could be affected.
• We monitor recovery processes to confirm that security controls and procedures are fully restored.
• We make sure security requirements are addressed throughout all phases of the system life cycle.
• We participate in self-inspections, identify security discrepancies, and report security incidents.
• We coordinate technical security matters outside our expertise or responsibility with the SSE.
• We conduct research and analysis to support program growth and expanded responsibility areas.
• We perform file transfers between local systems and storage devices.
• We provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members.

We are MANTECH, seeking a motivated, career-oriented Information Systems Security Manager to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. This role supports Special Access Programs (SAPs) and provides day-to-day security support for collateral, SCI, and SAP activities in support of SMC and AFSPC acquisition efforts. Our environment is dynamic and collaborative, with opportunities to work closely with DoD, military, civilian, and industry partners while contributing to mission-critical security operations. The role also involves physical work at a computer-based office setting and may require extensive travel within our operational area of responsibility.
