Role Overview : As a Nursing Assistant at CHMC, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Your work will directly support patient well-being and the overall efficiency of the unit, ensuring that every patient receives the highest standard of care in alignment with our mission. What You Will Do : Assist in providing basic patient care, including vital signs, hygiene, feeding, and post-mortem care. Administer basic treatments such as I & O measurement, specimen collection, and glucose monitoring. Respond to call lights, pass water and linens, and assist with non-clinical duties to support unit operations. Help transport patients and deliver specimens, pharmacy orders, and blood products as needed. Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality protocols. What You Will Need : High school diploma or GED equivalent. Current AHA BLS certification or obtain within the first week of hire through HEART CODE.
