Settlement Advisor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Settlement Advisor to join our Asset Reconditioning team. This role is responsible for managing the settlement process for Class 8 tractors and trailers returned from lease, ensuring accurate billing, thorough documentation, and an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate enjoys analyzing information, solving problems, and collaborating with multiple teams to drive results. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. What You'll Do Manage the end-to-end settlement process for assigned equipment returned from lease. Review equipment agreements and TEL return standards to support accurate and consistent final settlements. Prepare customer damage summaries and supporting documentation related to equipment condition and repairs. Generate and distribute final invoices while ensuring billing accuracy and compliance with established processes. Monitor profit and loss results for assigned equipment and provide insight into settlement outcomes. Partner with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and other internal teams to support business objectives and customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the settlement process. Assist with process improvements, SOP development, and other initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and service excellence. What We're Looking For Minimum of two years of experience in customer billing, invoicing, settlements, accounting support, or a related field. Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on available information. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service mindset and professional communication skills. Experience with business systems such as Karmak, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, or similar platforms preferred. Ability to build strong working relationships across departments and take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Why TEL?
