Senior Structural Engineer

Position Title: Senior Structural Engineer Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States Department: Structural Description: We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Rail & Transit Group in Boston, MA. We are currently growing our design services and client base to support client and project needs in the Structural/Railroad focus areas. The successful candidate will lead the design of simple and complex fixed bridges, movable bridges and perform bridge inspections with a growing practice. - Serve as a Structural Engineer on major projects
- Prepare detailed plans and construction documents
- Perform structural design calculations and analysis
- Develop technical specifications and contract bid documents
- Prepare technical reports
- Lead site visits for condition inspections
- Coordinate across disciplines and work in a team environment
- Mentor and train junior staff
- BS in Civil Engineering required
- PE License required (MA preferred)
- A minimum of eight years of Structural Engineering experience with a focus on bridge design (rail experience preferred)
- Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design of structural projects
- Experience with current FEM modeling software preferred
- Local rail client base preferred (MBTA, Amtrak)
- Proficient in both verbal and written communications
