Job Summary Provides supervised health care services to patients and performs a variety of administrative and clinical support duties related to the Student Health clinic operations, including laboratory tests, medication and immunization administration, and supporting patients' clinical appointments. Responsibilities Patient Care Room patients, measure vital signs, take chief complaints, perform venipuncture, injections, and immunizations. Perform dressing changes, CLIA‑waived in‑house testing, assist providers during exams, and maintain rooms by infection control principles. Provide health education, schedule appointments, check patients in and out, answer calls, and communicate with staff. Documentation Record patient care in the electronic health record, including lab results, progress notes, consents, imaging, and residency/rotation forms. Notify patients of laboratory results after provider review. Safety and Quality Processes Participate in clinic safety and quality processes; store and monitor supplies, medications, and equipment. Document inventory in Microsoft Word and Excel. Additional Duties Engage in outreach events, staff education, and peer review as assigned. Other Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School diploma, GED, or equivalent with at least two years of experience in administrative and clinical support within an outpatient primary setting. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential or equivalent (AAMA, MedCa, RMA/NCMA, NCMA, or NCRMA). Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Experience working supervised in an outpatient healthcare clinic with a multidisciplinary team. Experience using an electronic health record for documentation and e‑prescribing. Experience recognizing emergent patient symptoms and performing Basic Life Support CPR. Experience administering vaccines and medications to children and adults. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge: Awareness of infection prevention policies and ability to follow established best practice guidelines for quality and safety. Skills: Proficient with Microsoft, Adobe, and EHR platforms; detail‑oriented; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; proficient in Microsoft Office. Abilities: Maintain confidentiality; work within a multidisciplinary team; demonstrate excellent customer service attitude. Certifications / License Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS/BCLS certification. Shift / Salary / Benefits Shift: Days, Monday‑Friday. Pay Band: B3. Salary: $16.54‑$17.70 per hour, commensurate with qualifications.
