Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to support and enhance technology environments for a diverse portfolio of businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on IT professional who enjoys working directly with clients, building trusted relationships, and solving complex infrastructure challenges both remotely and onsite. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in Windows Server administration, networking, virtualization, cloud technologies, and customer support. This role requires regular travel to client locations, making it perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of technical work, consulting, and face‑to‑face interaction. Responsibilities Design and implement infrastructure solutions in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders. Provide Tier II and Tier III support for end-user and infrastructure‑related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving: Windows workstations and laptops Server environments Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP Network and VPN connectivity Cloud platforms and Microsoft 365 environments Build, deploy, and maintain Windows Server environments. Configure, support, and optimize Azure and AWS cloud environments. Design and support virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper‑V. Deploy and maintain network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless solutions, and VPN technologies. Support VoIP phone systems and storage solutions. Visit client sites to perform implementations, upgrades, assessments, troubleshooting, and project work. Maintain accurate technical documentation and client records. Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing exceptional customer service and guidance. Manage priorities, project timelines, and client expectations. Participate in an on‑call support rotation. Qualifications Required Experience 5+ years of IT infrastructure and systems administration experience. 5+ years of Windows Server administration experience. Experience supporting small-to-medium business environments. Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client locations as needed. Preferred Experience Previous MSP, consulting, or client‑facing technical experience. Experience managing multiple customer environments simultaneously. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $42.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
