The clinic focuses on evidence-informed treatment to help individuals recover from injury and optimize functional performance. Clients include active individuals, athletes, and community members seeking personalized, one-on-one care. The clinic emphasizes ongoing professional development and high-quality patient outcomes. Are you a Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer—or ideally, both? We’re looking for a sports-minded clinician to join our Santa Monica practice in a hybrid role that combines one-on-one clinical care, sports medicine, onsite athletic coverage, rehabilitation, and performance training. Dual DPT/ATC candidates strongly encouraged to apply. This is an opportunity to work with active individuals and athletes throughout the entire process—from injury prevention and acute injury management to rehabilitation, return to sport, and performance. The Role This position offers variety and the opportunity to use both clinical and sports medicine skills. Depending on your credentials and experience, responsibilities may include: In the clinic: Evaluating and treating sports, orthopedic, and general musculoskeletal conditions Developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation programs Providing hands-on treatment and therapeutic exercise Progressing patients through return-to-activity and return-to-sport programs Providing movement, strength, injury prevention, and wellness education Supporting concussion rehabilitation and return-to-play when appropriately trained Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals Participating in performance and strength training programming Documenting patient care and tracking outcomes On the field/court: Providing athletic training coverage for practices, games, tournaments, and events Performing acute injury assessment and management Providing taping, bracing, and injury prevention strategies Managing sideline injuries and coordinating appropriate follow-up care Supporting athlete rehabilitation and return-to-play progression Communicating with athletes, coaches, parents, and medical professionals The ideal candidate will enjoy moving between the clinic and the athletic environment and understands that successful sports medicine doesn't stop when an athlete is pain-free. Our goal is to help people recover, rebuild, return, and perform. Who We’re Looking For We are especially interested in candidates who hold both DPT and ATC credentials , but we are open to exceptional candidates with either credential who bring strong experience in both clinical rehabilitation and sports medicine. Required qualifications include: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and/or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) Active California license/credential or eligibility to obtain the appropriate credential Strong foundation in sports medicine, orthopedic rehabilitation, and injury prevention Excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team Strong organizational and documentation skills Genuine interest in working with athletes and active individuals Ability to work a combination of clinic hours and, when applicable, evenings/weekends for sports coverage Especially Valuable Experience Dual DPT/ATC credentials Sports rehabilitation and return-to-sport programming Athletic training or team coverage experience Concussion management Strength & conditioning or performance training Experience working with field/court athletes Rugby, soccer, volleyball, running, or similar sports Manual therapy and therapeutic exercise Injury prevention and athlete education New graduates are welcome to apply if they demonstrate strong clinical fundamentals, initiative, and a genuine interest in sports medicine and rehabilitation. Why This Role? If you're looking for a traditional PT or ATC position where your role is narrowly defined, this probably isn't it. We're looking for someone who wants to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance and have the opportunity to work across multiple aspects of sports medicine. You may spend part of your day treating a patient one-on-one in the clinic, helping an athlete progress through a return-to-sport program, and then providing coverage on the field or court. Clinic.
