Machinist Assistant – CNC Screw Machine Experience Required

A leading medical manufacturing company in Escondido is seeking a Machinist Assistant to support production machining operations. This role helps ensure high-quality products are manufactured to customer requirements and applicable domestic and international regulatory standards.

Location: Escondido, CA
Shift: 9:40 p.m.–6:10 a.m.
Pay: $23.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Grind and prepare production tooling.
• Edit CNC screw machine programs for various products.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC screw machines.
• Perform initial part inspections and verify specifications.
• Clean and maintain CNC machines.
• Follow quality and regulatory requirements and complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of CNC screw machine experience or general machining experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency with CNC screw machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• cGMP and/or ISO experience preferred.
• Comfortable working with small parts and performing repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently with limited supervision.

Physical Requirements:

This position is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. The work requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and use of hands and fingers; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; frequent lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds; and occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds. Close vision is required for using a microscope, reading documents, and operating office equipment.
