Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

Registered Nurse Post-Anesthesia Care Unit

Shifts vary between 8, 10, and 12 hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends/holidays. No guarantee of hours or shift preference.

Variable hours worked per two-week period.

• 2+ years of experience as a critical care RN in a hospital setting may substitute for PACU experience.
• Valid BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
• A valid professional license within the state of practice.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is recommended and may be required for specific positions.
• Other specialty-related certifications are preferred.

Caring for patients pre-operatively as well as during Phase I and Phase II recovery.

Monitoring and assessing patients after surgery for signs of stability or complications.

Demonstrating advanced knowledge of anesthesiology.

Using critical thinking skills to assess incision sites and vital signs.

Ensuring patient comfort and safety in the recovery process.

Proof of flu vaccination or an approved exception will be required prior to the contract start date. On-call shifts may be required 0-3 times per month.
