Associate Defense Attorney - Bad Faith/Fraud

Job Overview A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of litigation experience to join their bad faith and insurance fraud team in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will be licensed in California and capable of managing cases with increasing independence, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances. Draft and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission. Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other case-related documents. Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances. Work closely with partners, clients, and support staff to develop case strategy and advance matters efficiently. Maintain organized case files and meet deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment. Requirements Active admission to the State Bar of California. 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in litigation, bad faith, fraud, or related practice areas. Experience handling written discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court hearings. Strong case management, analytical, research, and writing skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff. Availability to make in-person appearances as needed. A commitment to professional growth and client service. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in California. Skills Strong analytical and research skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficient in case management and legal research software. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
