Electrician, Journeyman

If you are tired of spending your days on unfulfilling work—tasks that fill the clock but do nothing to build your skills, expand your mind, or advance you toward becoming an independent Master Electrician—this is your off-ramp.

We are a boutique, high-touch shop operating strictly on the Eastern Shore (within 30 minutes of Fairhope). We don't do tract-home production, and we don't commute across the bay.

We handle the mundane, the complex, the non-standard, the antique, and the latest—electrical, electronic, mechanical, and motors.

Do you actually know these systems? Do you understand that craftsmanship isn't driving a drywall screw into an outlet yoke?

We exist for the technician who operates with:

• Intentional Actions: Thinking two steps ahead, respecting client property, and treating the work like a discipline.
• Personal Integrity & Knowledge: Speaking factually to clients, understanding why a system works (not guessing), and doing what you said you would do.
• Practice & Efficient Execution: Executing a clear plan efficiently to deliver a real, lasting benefit to the client.

You will work directly alongside a Master Electrician in an environment designed to build a long-term, self-sustaining career:

• Diagnostic Scope: Tracing systemic failures, reading schematics, restoring legacy systems, and wiring control circuits.
• Direct Client Relationships: Dealing directly with high-integrity homeowners and business owners, building a parallel base of trust.
• Mastery Beyond the Tools: Developing advanced system design, complex electrical calculations, job management, and the practical skills required to earn your Master Electrician license.
• Note on Licensing: An active Alabama Journeyman license is preferred, but for candidates with a 2-year Electrical/Industrial Tech degree or solid plant/industrial experience, we will sponsor and mentor you through the Alabama Journeyman and Master license exams.

To maintain our insurance, jobsite safety, and operating standards, candidates must meet the following:

• Height & Climbing Agility (Mandatory Dealbreaker): Absolute comfort working at heights. Must be capable of climbing and working comfortably off extension ladders, stepladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts, and navigating high-pitch roofs or open attic trusses without hesitation or physical restrictions.
• Physical Capabilities: Ability to perform essential field functions, including navigating tight crawlspaces, lifting 50+ lbs of gear/materials, maintaining fine motor dexterity for controls, and distinguishing color-coded circuitry.
• Technical Credential: Active Alabama Journeyman license OR a 2-year Electrical/Industrial Tech degree with documented diagnostic experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record: Valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR for commercial truck insurance coverage.
• Screening & Background: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, FCRA-compliant background/credit check, and ongoing random drug testing.
• Strict Health Policy: 100% tobacco-, vape-, and nicotine-free workplace policy (on or off duty).
• Authorization: E-Verify clearance within 3 days of hire.
