Mechanical AssemblerThe Assembler plays a key role in building high-quality products by accurately interpreting drawings, work instructions, and parts lists to assemble mechanical components. This position involves using a variety of hand tools, air tools, and small power tools to perform assembly operations, as well as handling materials and parts throughout the production process. The role requires careful visual inspection and testing to ensure all finished units meet strict tolerances and customer specifications.Responsibilities:Interpret drawings, work instructions, and parts list to assemble componentsPositioning, aligning, fastening, and assembling parts using hand tools, air tools, and small power toolsPerforming operations such as drilling, press assembly, burnishing, washing parts, magnetizing, soldering, or encapsulation depending on product lineVisually inspecting and testing finished units to ensure they meet tolerances and customer specificationsUsing micrometers, calipers, and verniers to verify tolerancesPulling parts for assembly, loading components onto the line, and placing finished units into bins or boxesLoading and unloading trucksUse an overhead crane and/or forklift to move partsQualifications:Must have experience with operating both an overhead crane and a forkliftBlueprint reading experienceMechanical skills and previous experience within assembly is a plusStrong job tenure-long job stintsJob Type & LocationThis is a permanent position based out of Erie, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
