Investment Associate

Captona is a North America-focused investment company dedicated to Decarbonization and the Energy Transition. Captona invests in late stage, utility-scale renewable energy and clean fuels projects across North America with a focus on solar, storage, microgrids, fuel cell, and RNG technologies. Since inception, the Captona team, through its value-add approach, has deployed capital to acquire, construct, and operate 50+ infrastructure assets across North America valued close to $3 billion. Job Description Build and maintain complex financial models to analyze and perform sensitivities on potential investments. Perform due diligence on investment opportunities, including review of technical reports and financial documentation. Review transaction documents (MIPAs, LLCAs, Credit Agreements, etc.) throughout the execution process. Support origination efforts by helping identify and build relationships with developers and asset owners. Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders. Monitor operating assets and provide performance reporting to management and investors. Requirements 1–3+ years of experience in investment banking or project finance, ideally within the energy transition sector. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Strong aptitude for building and analyzing complex financial models. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel for processing large datasets, identifying trends, and conducting risk assessments. Familiarity with renewable energy policies, incentives, and market dynamics (e.g., ITC, PTC, IRA provisions). Preferred: Experience with tax equity, capital accounts, and project finance lending structures. The estimated base salary for this position is expected to be $90,000-$130,000, depending on experience. Total compensation package includes comprehensive benefits, retirement plan with match, and bonus eligibility.
