OverviewEnterprise Security Services Corporation is seeking Unarmed Security Officers to support client sites in the Roanoke area. A women- and minority-owned company with over 30 years in the security industry, we welcome both experienced officers and dependable candidates who are prepared to learn and develop within the organization.Where you'll workOfficers will be assigned to client locations in and around Roanoke, including retail, commercial, and community sites. Assignments are based on coverage needs and may rotate between shifts, requiring officers who can work reliably across the local area.ResponsibilitiesMaintain a visible, professional presence that deters theft and unsafe conditionsPatrol the property and verify that entrances and exits are secureMonitor for suspicious activity and safety hazards, and report them promptlyAssist visitors, customers, and staff in a courteous and professional mannerRespond to incidents and emergencies calmly and in accordance with established proceduresPrepare clear, accurate incident and daily activity reportsCommunicate with site management and emergency services as requiredRequirementsHold or be able to obtain a Virginia DCJS unarmed security officer registrationMeet Virginia's minimum age and eligibility requirements for security registrationPass a criminal background checkPossess reliable transportation to reach assigned sites in the Roanoke areaDemonstrate willingness to learn site procedures and adhere to them consistentlyAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsPrior experience is not required — training and guidance will be providedBenefitsWeekly pay on a regular pay cycleFlexible shift scheduling to accommodate personal commitmentsAdditional shift opportunities across multiple client locationsOpportunities for advancement as assignments continue to expandUniform & equipmentClass A black uniform required (must be able to obtain); equipment may be issued.ScheduleShifts may include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.How to applyClick Apply to submit your information.
