Our team is committed to enhancing the health, comfort, and overall well-being of our residents, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and truly at home.As a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) on our team, you will contribute to a clinically strong, team-focused, and resident-centered care environment by combining safe medication administration with hands-on daily support—ensuring residents at The Barrington of Carmel experience dignity, safety, and compassionate care every day.As a BHI Senior Living Community, the staff at The Barrington of Carmel are united in mission, we lead with compassion and provide opportunities to grow and thrive professionally.Why You'll Love Working Here:At The Barrington of Carmel, we know a fulfilling career is about more than a paycheck.We offer:Competitive salary and weekend shift differentialsHealth benefits for full- and part-time team members (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Long/Short-Term Disability)Paid Time Off from day one and Holiday Pay401K with matching contributionsProfessional development, tuition reimbursement, scholarships, and training programs to help you grow and thriveOn-site gym, daily pay option, telehealth, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)A supportive, team-oriented environment that values excellence in care and encourages staff to lead with compassion.In This Role You Will:Administer non-parenteral medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and state scope of practice.Observe, document, and report adverse reactions or changes in condition to the nursing supervisor or Director of Nursing.Administer PRN medications as authorized and document outcomes appropriately.Accurately obtain and record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and required documentation in the electronic medical record.Provide direct resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).Assist residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises in accordance with individualized care plans.Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests, ensuring timely and compassionate care.Support meal service by transporting residents, assisting with feeding as needed, and monitoring nutritional intake.Perform restorative nursing procedures and follow-up care as directed by nursing leadership.Maintain resident rooms, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.Shift Details:Night Shift: 7p-7:30aPart-Time: 12-25hrs weeklyWho You Are:You are certified as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) in Indiana and in good standing, with an active CNA certification as required by state regulations.You demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to medication safety and accuracy.You are compassionate, patient, and dedicated to serving older adults.You communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with residents, families, and team members.You maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.You are dependable, organized, and able to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred: Prior long-term care experience and completion of the Indiana Department of Health's Insulin Administration Education Module.The Barrington of Carmel (A BHI Community) is an equal opportunity employer.
