Salary: This position is in CS1, with a minimum salary of $17.55 per hour. The successful candidates salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range.

Northeast Community College is seeking a full-time Custodian on the Norfolk Campus.

The purpose of this position is to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable learning environment for students, faculty, staff and administrators. This is accomplished by sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming classrooms, offices, halls, restrooms, windows, corridors, and other public areas, making minor repairs, and reporting maintenance issues in the buildings. Other duties include picking up supplies from warehouse and delivering to buildings, picking up trash, and performing routine maintenance. Maintains assigned area(s) in a clean, orderly and attractive manner and performs related work as assigned by the Director of Custodial Services Norfolk, and the Director of Physical Plant Norfolk. Some weekends and holidays required. The work hours for this position are Monday-Friday 1:00 pm-10:00 pm. These hours are subject to change.

Education: Willingness to be trained and aligns with the Colleges mission, vision and values

Experience: Requires some cleaning knowledge and the ability to read and understand product labels.

Skills: Requires excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to work successfully with students and other employees. Valid Drivers license required.

Special Instructions to Applicants: This job requires occasional overtime to assist with coverage at extra events taking place on campus. This position will remain open until filled.
