The ideal candidate will possess a superior balance of self-motivation, technical aptitude, advanced client handling, and business acumen to support our enterprise level customers.ResponsibilitiesTechnical Consulting and Sales SupportIdentifies customer’s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements and maps to Equinix solutionsUnderstands and explains customer applications and business challengesUtilizes above average understanding of Equinix products and services to deliver pitch on Equinix solutionsAnalyzes situations and data on problems of complex scope independentlyProvides full support for assigned customers, including global deploymentsSolution Design and DeliverablesProvides technical solution design expertise to all assigned Sales account executivesExercises judgment to solve customer problems that are outside of standard procedures effectivelyAssists in complex RFI/P/Q preparation as requested by Sales RepresentativesIndependently delivers all deliverables for the customerCustomer ServiceCommunicates with customers (internal and external) in an above average, professional, friendly and effective manner, both verbally and in writingAssists in pre-sales efforts for all company products and servicesProvides above average technical support in sales presentations, customer meetings, and trade showsAble to problem solve a variety issues and execute solutionsBusiness and Market Expertise Demonstrates a strong understanding of Equinix data center, Network, and Cloud products and servicesPossesses above average industry knowledge and familiarity with the competitive landscapeCollaboration / CommunicationDevelops new business opportunities and grows existing customer relationshipsMotivates internal teams (CSM, OM, IM, Ops, etc.) to ensure smooth project transition from pre-sales to post-salesInfluences the cultivation of a positive culture on the teamDemonstrates excellent presentation skillsTeam LeadershipSupports initiatives and team projects to better the organizationQualificationsTypically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experienceThe targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 178,000 - 266,000 USD / AnnualOur pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.The targeted pay range listed reflects On-Target Earnings or OTE, which is base pay plus commissions, and does not include equity or benefits.
