2026‑27 School Psychometrist/Psychologist Midwest City / Del City School District, Special Services, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Position Summary To provide individual psycho‑educational evaluation in the areas of social and emotional adjustment, intelligence, academic achievement, sensory and perceptual motor functioning and environmental/cultural influences. The School Psychologist will provide a psycho‑educational diagnosis and interpret evaluation results and other factors that influence learning. They will provide recommendations regarding placement, educational approaches and related services to meet individual student needs, and offer parent counseling, group and individual counseling for students with emotional, behavioral or learning problems. Job ID: 5785090 Salary: $51,167 Per Year Position Type: Full‑Time Qualifications Master’s degree with a valid Oklahoma School Psychology certificate. Background areas should include psychology, educational psychology, development, and/or education with extensive coursework in individual evaluation and assessment. Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct individual evaluations and assessment of students referred to Special Services. Review and evaluate data, evaluations, and school records received from other agencies. Work within assigned schools and the school district to identify all categories of exceptional children. Interpret and apply educational criteria and regulations to assessment findings to determine eligibility for special programs as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Make proper referrals to outside agencies as needed, with administrative approval. Consult and confer with parents and teachers to interpret psycho‑educational services. Prepare and submit required reports on exceptional children, psychometric activities, and special education programs. Coordinate with community agencies for the delivery of services to school district patrons. Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor. Language and Grammar Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to compose and write grammatically correct correspondence and memos. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule or blueprint form. Physical Demands and Work Environment The position may require use of hands, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasional sitting. Frequent lifting and moving of up to 100 pounds, plus frequent lifting of more than 100 pounds, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment may include exposure to fumes or airborne particles, high or precarious places, outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme cold or heat, electrical shock, and vibration. Noise levels may vary from somewhat loud to extremely loud. Job Requirements Citizenship, residency or work visa required. Language Accreditation The job requires a valid Oklahoma School Psychology certificate. Applicants must be licensed or certified to practice in Oklahoma.
