Manager of Behavioral Health Services - EAP/Work-Life Services

Work location – Hybrid 2 The role requires associates to be in‑office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work‑life balance. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. About the Role The Manager of Behavioral Health Services – EAP Work‑Life Services manages a team of licensed clinicians and support staff responsible for telephonic crisis intervention, substance abuse/biopsychosocial assessments, employer services (such as management consultations and supervisory referrals), and connecting members or providers with available resources. The manager leads quality improvement, process redesign, policy revision, and quality control for a 24/7 inbound and outbound call center. They train and coach staff, maintain relationships with members, clients, and providers, and provide support to internal stakeholders such as vendors, compliance, and infrastructure teams. Primary Duties Provide resource support for behavioral health programs. Identify and recommend revisions to policies and procedures. Ensure staff adheres to accreditation guidelines. Support quality improvement activities. Assist with implementation of cost‑of‑care initiatives. Attend meetings to review utilization management and case‑management processes and discuss facility issues. Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate direct reports. Licensure Requirements Current, active, unrestricted license (RN, LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, clinical psychologist, or equivalent) in applicable states or territory of the United States. For states that do not require licensure, a Board‑Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) is acceptable if the role performs UM approvals only, reviews ABA service requests only, and is supervised by licensed staff. Education/Experience Requirements Prior experience in a managed care setting. Master’s degree (MS) in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related behavioral health field, or a nursing degree with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in facility‑based and/or outpatient psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment, plus prior EAP experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experiences Experience applying clinical and policy knowledge across the continuum of behavioral health treatment. Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) certification. Experience in PST or MST time zones is preferred; other time zones are acceptable if the candidate can work 8:30 am–5:00 pm PST. Salary Salary range: $88,880 to $159,984 (based on location: California, Colorado, Nevada).
