Per Diem Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS)

Are you passionate about supporting children and youth as they navigate challenging health situations? Doral Health & Wellness is seeking a skilled and compassionate Child Life Specialist to join our dynamic team! Location Westchester Area, and the Boroughs of New York (Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx) Specialty Help children/youth better understand and express their feelings, emotions, behaviors, etc. through creative and kinesthetic treatment. Responsibilities Conduct individual and group sessions to support children in coping with their healthcare experiences. Design and implement therapeutic programs to meet the emotional and developmental needs of pediatric patients. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Maintain detailed, accurate records of therapy sessions, patient progress, and outcomes. Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages children to express their feelings and develop coping strategies. Qualifications Certified Child Life Specialist with certification through the Child Life Council. Experience working with the Medically Fragile pediatric population is highly preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
