Under general supervision, the Cable Assembler performs precision assembly of cables, wire harnesses, and electronic/electromechanical components. This role involves  crimping, wire preparation, soldering, routing, and assembly while following work instructions, drawings, and schematics.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with small components and hand tools, has good attention to detail, and can consistently produce high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and route cables, wires, and wire harnesses.
• Cut, strip, crimp, terminate, and solder wires and connectors.
• Use hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, cutters, torque tools, and soldering irons.
• Follow drawings, schematics, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality and accuracy.
• Perform basic rework or adjustments when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow ESD and safety procedures.
• Use magnification when needed for detailed assembly work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in cable assembly, electronic assembly, electrical work, aerospace, automotive electrical, military, or a similar hands-on field.
• Experience using hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, or soldering equipment.
• Ability to read and follow basic drawings, schematics, and written instructions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with small components and color-coded wiring.
• Must be able to pass a hands-on skills assessment.
• Ability to work overtime or extended hours as needed.
