Career Opportunities: Product Assurance Manager (5930) We are looking for an experienced and driven Product Assurance Manager to lead end-to-end Product and Quality Assurance activities across space systems, ranging from equipment and payloads to full satellites and constellation-level solutions covering both space and ground segments. Responsibilities Interface with customers regarding Quality & Product Assurance activities, ensuring requirements are understood and effectively managed. Monitor and control all technical and management aspects of the Quality Assurance disciplines during spacecraft/Hosted payload design, manufacturing and test phases: selection and procurement of electrical & electronic parts, selection and qualification of materials and processes, reliability, safety, hardware and software quality assurance, configuration control. Oversee and control the work carried out by manufacturer to ensure the adequate implementation of Eutelsat product/quality assurance requirements throughout the program. Manage and coordinate additional PA/QA support staff and ad-hoc consultants assigned to the project, when required. Develop professional relationships with all internal and external contacts, especially with responsible experts in the various quality assurance disciplines within suppliers’ organizations and/or agencies. Provide Eutelsat Program office (Program Manager, System Manager and spacecraft engineers) with a high level of spacecraft technical product assurance expertise for all activities associated with the design, development, manufacturing and testing of spacecraft. Monitor the PA activities during spacecraft/hosted payload assembly, integration and test activities at the contractor facilities. Participate in project design and test reviews at multiple levels (system, satellite and unit). Interact with the end-to-end system development team to ensure requirements traceability and associated verification plan. Carry out hardware & software acceptance reviews in coordination with the program office. Manage the non-conformance control system and coordinate, with the support of the Program office, the inputs to the identification of non-conformances, their analysis, definition of corrective actions, and their implementation and close-out; assess technical residual risks associated with the non-conformances and waivers and decide on their acceptability. Qualifications 10 to 15 years of experience in satellite telecommunications system development, implementing recognized space quality standards. Experience in international space projects and industrial customer/contractor relationships. High level of hardware and software product/quality assurance technical expertise and support for spacecraft procurement programs. Strong knowledge of quality and product assurance requirements commonly applied in the telecommunications space industry. Good knowledge of requirements management. Excellent knowledge of English and French. Ability to work in a team. Location & Working Arrangements Main office is in Issy-les-Moulineaux. Travel to contractors and suppliers or agencies is periodically required. Home working is generally accepted up to 2 days per week; this may be adjusted according to project needs.
