WHAT YOU'LL DO This is a hands-on litigation position offering immediate courtroom experience and significant professional development opportunities. Manage a caseload of criminal matters, including DUI's, misdemeanors, gross misdemeanors, and, depending on experience and development, felony cases. Represent clients in Washington's Municipal, District, and Superior Courts. Draft and argue motions, including evidentiary, suppression, and other pretrial motions. Develop case strategy through investigation, legal research, and collaboration with fellow attorneys. Negotiate with prosecutors and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes. Counsel clients through one of the most difficult periods of their lives with professionalism, empathy, and clear communication. Learn from and collaborate with a team that includes former prosecutors and highly accomplished criminal defense attorneys. Participate in content creation, community engagement, marketing initiatives, and branding efforts that support the continued growth of the firm. Maintain the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and client confidentiality. WHY PLG At PLG, we don't simply process cases. Our experienced team of criminal defense attorneys possesses more combined criminal law experience than any criminal defense firm in the Pacific Northwest. This position offers a unique opportunity to accelerate your development as a criminal defense attorney while gaining meaningful courtroom experience and work among some of the region's most respected attorneys.

REQUIREMENTS Active Washington State Bar License and good standing with the WSBA. Experience handling DUI and misdemeanor criminal matters in Washington State courts. Strong written and oral advocacy skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to providing exceptional client service. Ability and willingness to travel between our Tacoma, Seattle, and Kent offices and courts as needed. Preferred Qualifications Criminal law experience through private practice, public defense, prosecution, judicial clerkships, internships, or externships. Experience appearing in Municipal, District, and Superior Courts. Former prosecutor experience. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in

Spanish
