• Experience: Minimum 2 years of PCU RN experience; cardiac and medical stepdown experience preferred

What You'll Do:

• Provide high-quality care to cardiac and medical stepdown patients.
• Manage and titrate cardiac, insulin, and vasopressor drips, including Esmolol, Cardene, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and more.
• Monitor and manage venous sheaths, TR Bands, temporary pacemakers, and central lines.
• Support with chest tube and tracheostomy care, wound management, and drains.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT, phlebotomy, and hospitalists.
• Participate in unit orientations and support patient-centered care for diverse patient populations.
• Adhere to unit protocols, chart accurately using Meditech Expanse, and maintain safety standards.

What You Need:
Required:

• Active RN license in Louisiana
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• 2+ years of RN experience in PCU or similar acute care setting
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to starting
• Skills in titrating cardiac and vasopressor drips, managing central lines, chest tubes, and other critical care procedures

Preferred:

• LVAD certification
• Experience with cardiac post-surgical patients (CABG, PCI, TAVR, lung surgery)
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment
