JOB DESCRIPTION

Love your job and feel full filled as an In-Home Care Registered Nurse. Family Tree Private Care is searching for full-time, part-time and PRN RNs. We are looking for compassionate nurses with a passion for service, family values, and a true desire to help the elderly. Nursing positions at Family Tree Private Care will enjoy flexible schedule options, an enjoyable work environment that is warm, positive, and supportive.

RESPONSIBILITES

Travel to assigned patient’s homes and manage their care plan according to physician’s instructions. Assess and chart observations of the patient’s condition at each visit. Complete evaluation tasks, including reviewing medication and vital signs. Dress or redress wounds and assess the healing progress. Educating caregivers and family on the aftercare or ongoing care of the patient. Keep the patient comfortable through palliative care. Recommend tools or devices that may improve the quality of life for the patient.

SKILLS

Strong interpersonal skills that allow them to get to know their patients, build personal rapport and establish trust to provide high-quality care while increasing patients’ enjoyment and comfort. Initiative so they can make independent decisions when required and accept direction and requests from patients. The ability to follow instructions but also act independently if necessary. Excellent observational and problem-solving skills Ability to act swiftly in emergencies and work efficiently. Flexibility and patience to work in a variety of living environments. Knowledge of clinical skills including changing bandages, giving tube feedings, administering shots, and setting up and monitoring IVs

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant license and certification A valid driver’s license and reliable transport Ability to lift 25lbs Strong candidates have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in the home care industry (or related industry – hospice, home health, hospital, etc.)
