The Team Our Federal Business brings 100+ years of experience supporting the Federal government with design‑engineering services, including Architecture/Engineering, Classified Design Services, Construction Designer of Record Services, Environmental Services, and Integrated Services. The Opportunity The Federal Project Manager will function in a project leadership capacity on Department of Defense contracts, focusing on the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and other federal clients. Manage multiple small to medium sized services projects. Manage multiple federal clients and projects with emphasis on MDA. Support business development, obtain new/repeat business on medium size projects, and assist with contract negotiations. Reduce risk by managing profit on fixed‑price engineering projects and overseeing new technology or new client engagements. Act as project manager, including team management and project oversight. U.S. citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years’ experience with A/E design teams for the U.S. Department of Defense. Experience with full project lifecycle from proposal to construction. Professional Engineer (PE) License or Registered Architect (RA). Familiarity with AFCEC, NAVFAC, USACE, and the Missile Defense Agency. Ability to obtain a security clearance. Experience in business development, business acumen, execution, and leadership. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Must complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background checks, drug screen, motor‑vehicle records). U.S. citizenship. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple small to medium services projects or a small EPC project. Manage multiple clients and projects. Obtain new/repeat business on medium projects; support contract negotiations. Manage risk for fixed‑price engineering, new technology, or new clients. Business Development: Identify client requirements, build relationships, and lead proposals. Business Acumen: Negotiate commercial terms, manage budgets, contracts, and legal issues, and analyze metrics. Execution: Apply B&V project management methodology, manage changes, risk, constructability, procurement, and warranty. Leadership: Communicate expectations, manage performance, mentor professionals, and promote collaboration. Management Responsibilities Manage project team and oversee project execution.
