Why You'll Love This Opportunity Monday–Friday schedule No weekends or major holidays Work directly alongside an experienced physician Build meaningful relationships with patients and facility staff Supportive and collaborative clinical environment Opportunity to serve seniors in long-term care and skilled nursing settings Professional growth and career advancement opportunities Position Highlights Full-time onsite Medical Assistant Travel with a physician to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities Direct patient interaction Clinical and administrative support Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Collaborative interdisciplinary care team Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for provider visits, including obtaining vital signs, reviewing medical history, and documenting patient concerns Assist the physician during patient evaluations and follow-up visits Accurately document clinical encounters within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Coordinate communication between physicians, nursing staff, therapists, pharmacy, and facility personnel Process physician orders, referrals, and medication requests Assist with prior authorizations and prescription coordination as needed Obtain and organize medical records, laboratory results, imaging reports, and hospital discharge documentation Ensure timely completion of provider documentation and required forms Coordinate follow-up appointments and continuity of care Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Support daily clinic workflow to ensure efficient patient care Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Medical Assistant certification preferred (or equivalent experience) Previous Medical Assistant experience in a physician office, clinic, or healthcare setting Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently while supporting a busy physician Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between facilities as needed Preferred Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Primary Care Experience with medication prior authorizations Experience processing physician orders and referrals Familiarity with post-acute care workflows Experience coordinating care among multiple healthcare providers What Makes You Successful You genuinely enjoy caring for seniors.
