Sr Application Support Engineer

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Manhattan WMi Senior Application Support Engineer with experience in iSeries/AS400, RPG, CLP. The role is work‑from‑home/hybrid, five days a week, core hours 8 AM–5 PM, and includes a structured on‑call rotation covering evenings, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities Respond to high‑priority production incidents and coordinate resolution efforts within defined SLAs. Participate in on‑call support, including maintenance windows and disaster recovery drills. Analyze and provide technical support for moderate to complex application issues. Work with software vendors and developers to resolve highly complex issues. Perform troubleshooting, debugging and testing of application software. Configure and install software and code following change management policies. Upgrade and migrate applications to new versions and infrastructure. Install patches and enforce best practices for patching. Analyze support issues to identify repeat problems and suggest preventative measures. Develop and install proactive solutions to prevent recurring issues. Propose improvements to system stability, availability, performance and reliability. Ensure continuity of business processes supported by one or many applications or services. Communicate effectively with users, manager, peers and internal customers. Collaborate with developers to author standard process and support documents. Understand database architecture, distributed infrastructure and network technologies. Conduct issue review meetings and establish priorities to achieve results. Create software release notes, support documents and user documentation. Perform simple to moderate application development tasks as needed. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 5 + years of IT experience. Experience with iSeries/AS400 or similar tools. Experience supporting Manhattan WMi or similar WMS platforms. Proficiency in SQL, incident‑management platforms such as ServiceNow, and cloud‑native architecture. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) is preferred.
