Position: Telecom Expense Management (TEM) Inventory Specialist Location: Remote Job Id: 2140 # of Openings: 1 Velocity is seeking to hire a TEM Inventory Specialist. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate, up‑to‑date inventories of telecommunications assets and services—such as circuits, phone numbers (POTS/DID’s), and carrier services—to support cost control, billing accuracy, and operational efficiency within Velocity’s TEM offering. This is a full‑time remote opportunity. The shift for this role is M-F 8am-5pm EST. This role reports directly into the Director of TEM. Responsibilities Inventory Management Maintain a centralized telecom inventory (circuits, phone numbers, devices, carrier services) Ensure inventory data aligns with carrier records and internal systems Perform regular inventory audits and reconciliations Use vendor web portals and reporting tools proficiently Expense Validation Support billing validation by ensuring invoices match active inventory Maintain contract expirations for all services Provide accurate inventory data to support chargeback models Work with carriers and vendors to: Validate service records Resolve inventory discrepancies Reporting & Data Integrity Produce inventory reports for Management, TEM Analysts and CSM Team Ensure high data quality within Velocity’s Global Expense Management system Process & Compliance Support Enforce telecom governance and inventory standards Document inventory processes and updates Typical Inventory Scope Mobile voice and data lines POTS Cable TV Wifi WAN/LAN circuits (MPLS, DIA, broadband, fiber) Cloud and UCaaS services Satellite Toll‑free and DID numbers Carrier contract expirations and service IDs Qualifications Technical / Functional Telecom lifecycle knowledge (Voice & Data) Experience with TEM systems and telecom billing fundamentals Excel / reporting tools (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) Analytical & Organizational Strong attention to detail Ability to manage high-volume data accurately Root‑cause analysis for discrepancies Soft Skills Clear documentation and communication Professionalism in vendor and carrier interactions Education and Experience 3-5 years hands‑on experience working in TEM platforms or a related field BA degree or related work experience preferred Benefits Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits package Medical, Dental, Vision, and more (big‑company style) Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting Company‑provided life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage Employee assistance programs and additional supplemental benefits Flexible working conditions Diversity and Inclusion Velocity is committed to diversity and inclusion and is dedicated to fostering a work environment where all team members are comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work and have equal opportunities to thrive.
