Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Baltimore, MD. Work Schedule 4 days X 10‑hour shifts (workdays will vary) 11:00AM – 9:30PM with rotating weekends. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Phlebotomy certification or completed training program. 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency if in lieu of work experience. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Pay Range $17.75 – $25.00 per hour with 2nd shift differential. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
