Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a group hiring for a Traveling Veterinarian. This opportunity is open to both full-time and part-time candidates and is ideal for experienced veterinarians seeking flexibility while maintaining strong clinical standards, support, and earning potential. The Traveling DVM program is designed similarly to travel nursing, offering veterinarians the opportunity to build a schedule around how they want to live and work.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves delivering high-quality veterinary care across multiple hospital locations while working within collaborative clinical teams. Responsibilities include examining animals to assess their health and diagnose conditions, treating and dressing wounds, performing surgery, testing for and vaccinating against diseases, operating medical equipment such as X-ray machines, prescribing medications, and advising pet owners on general care, medical conditions, and treatment plans. The successful candidate will work closely alongside hospital teams to provide compassionate and effective patient care across a varied caseload. Veterinarians can choose between a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation averaging 20 hours per week, or a 3 weeks on / 1 week off rotation for those who prefer longer assignments.

Practice Details
The hospitals typically provide the full scope of GP services and offer traveling veterinarians exposure to a wide variety of practice styles, client bases, and caseloads. Traveling DVMs rotate across high-performing, community-rooted hospitals located throughout Missouri, ranging from vibrant cities to welcoming small towns. Veterinarians are supported by a consistent and connected network, with new locations continually being added as the organization expands its footprint.

This creates an environment where veterinarians can transition smoothly between locations while remaining focused on delivering excellent patient care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
