Lead Accountant

Stinger is looking for a Lead Accountant to join our team! This is a high-visibility role at the center of Stinger's financial reporting function. You will own multi-entity consolidation across domestic and foreign subsidiaries, operate with a high degree of autonomy within the month-end close process, and serve as a key partner to the Accounting Manager and external auditors. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and execution of month-end close journal entries and consolidation of domestic and foreign subsidiaries, operating independently within the close process. Prepare and issue complete financial statements—balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements—on a timely basis. Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts for all entities, identifying and resolving variances. Perform technical accounting tasks including purchase accounting and implementation of new accounting standards. Coordinate preparation of external monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Serve as a primary liaison to external auditors during the annual audit. Oversee accounting operations of subsidiaries, including control systems, transaction-processing, and policy compliance. Produce and maintain budgets and forecasts; analyze variances and drive corrective actions in partnership with leadership. Administer and improve NetSuite and supporting financial systems; train team members and troubleshoot system issues. Partner with the Accounting Manager and Controller to identify process improvement opportunities and drive implementation across the accounting function. Qualifications Proficient in Excel. Ability to meet deadlines. Experienced presenting financial results and analysis directly to senior management. Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting. Ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles Highly proficient with accounting software (NetSuite Preferred). Demonstrate competence in leadership and decision making. Ability to keep accurate and detailed records. Ability to take initiative, multi-task and work well under pressure. Must be comfortable working with confidential data. Prior exposure to M&A activity, including due diligence support or post-acquisition integration. Require Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Advanced Accounting Degree or CPA preferred 3+ years’ experience in comparable field or position Public Accounting experience preferred Environmental/Physical Requirements Indoor offices with controlled temperature May sit for long periods of time Crouching, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, and lifting occasionally Operating computer, telephone, voicemail and other office equipment regularly #J-18808-Ljbffr
