About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the chief executive officer and lead the statewide advocacy and policy efforts for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing operations, supporting local chapters, and fostering relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and policymakers. Key responsibilities include leadership and advocacy, policy development and implementation, support for local chapters, strategic planning, operational management, financial stewardship, community engagement, and board relations. The Executive Director will also be expected to have a strong background in fundraising, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse range of individuals and organizations. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' leadership experience in the social or human services sector, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and a proven track record in fundraising. The role requires a candidate with a deep commitment to the rights and inclusion of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as the ability to work effectively with a Board of Directors and a wide range of stakeholders. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of advocacy and community organizing, experience with technology in the nonprofit sector, and the ability to travel as needed.
