Director of Information Technology

Salary: $103,000 - 143,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in a computer-related field, with a major in computer science, information systems, or computer information systems; a masters degree is preferred.
• At least three years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in healthcare, and demonstrated success leading teams through change.
• At least two years of prior healthcare IT experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations concerning information storage and cybersecurity.
• Specialized computer skills, including experience with operating systems, computer hardware, networking, and AI applications.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to assign work, monitor employee performance, explain technical subjects to nontechnical staff, and provide end-user training.
• Ability to process information, analyze data, apply deductive reasoning, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to direct IT professionals and contractors and plan and coordinate hardware and software installations and upgrades, programming, systems design, computer networks, and internet and intranet website development.
• Ability to assess organizational IT and information systems needs from operational and strategic perspectives and determine short- and long-term staffing and equipment requirements.
• Ability to assign and review subordinate work and stay current with technology to meet the organizations IT and information systems needs.

• Lead our technology operations and services, set priorities, manage resources, and ensure IT supports our organizational goals and service delivery.
• Develop our IT and information systems infrastructure design and strategic plan, accounting for future growth and evolving technology.
• Lead and oversee the IT Manager, Software Specialist, and other department personnel.
• Design, install, monitor, manage, and troubleshoot WAN and LAN networks across our main locations and remote sites.
• Promote organization-wide competence in operating and maintaining IT hardware and software, phone systems, building security systems, connectivity, and cellular phone operations.
• Establish and maintain testing and education programs that help network users recognize and avoid threats, use systems proficiently, and follow security measures.
• Develop and regularly review the department budget, making adjustments as needed.
• Evaluate whether our infrastructure and applications meet organizational needs, and work with the Executive Team and other managers to improve information systems solutions and end-user equipment.
• Research and implement new systems and programs as needed.
• Schedule hardware and software upgrades and security backups, and maintain an accurate inventory of technology assets and resources.
• Identify hardware for disposal and ensure it is stripped and secured before disposal.
• Work with multiple vendors to secure competitive pricing for goods and services.
• Provide troubleshooting support to network users.
• Interact with patients, families, coworkers, and the public with compassion, empathy, and patience, and represent Circle of Life positively in the community.
• Adapt to additional duties with flexibility, versatility, and a positive attitude, and perform other duties as assigned.
