Group Product Manager - Backend Experience (Core Infrastructure)

Responsibilities Lead the product strategy for BEAT and define the vision for agent-native backend development across Spotify's platform. Shape how AI and LLM-powered capabilities transform the software development lifecycle. Stay close to the product by using and evaluating BEAT's developer tools. Lead and develop a team of Product Managers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team. Partner closely with the Engineering Area Lead to align priorities. Build trusted partnerships with senior engineers and the Backend Advisory Board. Collaborate across Product Areas, studios, and the broader Platform Mission to deliver shared infrastructure initiatives. Own delivery against Core Infrastructure's strategic commitments. Requirements Experience leading product organizations that build internal developer platforms, infrastructure products, or engineering tools at scale. Successfully developed and coached Product Managers across different levels of experience while building strong, collaborative leadership teams. Deep understanding of how AI and large language models are transforming software development. Experience defining meaningful success metrics for internal platform products focused on developer productivity, reliability, adoption, and engineering effectiveness. Ability to communicate complex technical and strategic concepts clearly. Care about creating inclusive products and fostering an environment where diverse perspectives contribute to better decisions and stronger outcomes. Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in leading product strategy for internal developer platforms and infrastructure products, with a strong focus on AI and large language models.
