Cybersecurity Engineer / PKI, TLS & Certificate Automation

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Cybersecurity Engineer / Software Developer.

Position type: Contract
Duration: 12 to 18 months
Location: 5 days onsite in Charlotte, NC/ Denver, CO.

As a Cybersecurity Engineer / Software Developer, you will:

Top Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, software development, or automation.
• Strong experience with automating SSL/TLS certificate issuance or renewal
• Strong experience with PowerShell, Ansible and Terraform
• Experience integrating security automation into CI/CD pipelines

Description :
Looking for a hands-on engineer who can build and own an API driven automation platform that integrates TLS certificate lifecycle management into CI/CD based server and application builds , with Venafi as a core dependency.
This person should be comfortable designing, coding, integrating, and operating production automation and familiar with PKI concepts - especially the certificate management lifecycle and what its purpose is.


Top Business Goal:
Enable fully automated certificate issuance and installation as part of server/application builds- end to end in ~15 minutes -with minimal human intervention.


Non-Negotiable Skills (Must Have):
? Recruiters should only submit candidates who have most or all of the following:

• 7+ years in cybersecurity engineering, software engineering, or automation
• Hands on PKI and TLS certificate lifecycle experience
• Issuance, renewal, revocation, trust chains, certificate authorities

• Strong automation or software development background
• PowerShell and/or C#

• Experience integrating security automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Working knowledge of cryptography fundamentals
• Comfortable building production APIs, services, or automation frameworks
• Able to operate independently and make design decisions

Strong Differentiators (Nice to Have)

• Direct experience with Venafi
• Ansible (Tower / AAP / Open Source)
• AWS and/or Azure experience
• Containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Linux systems experience
• Code signing workflows

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $71 - $76 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
