Job Purpose:The Registered Nurse (RN) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients within a behavioral health setting. The RN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the physical and mental well-being of patients, focusing on providing compassionate and effective care during Shift 1.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards.Monitor and document patient progress, communicating effectively with the healthcare team to adjust care plans as necessary.Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication management, and health maintenance.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity and quality of services provided.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills to stabilize patients and prevent further complications.Required Education:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience.Required Experience:Minimum of 0-3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral health or psychiatric care.Experience working with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.Required Skills and Abilities:Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment protocols.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other healthcare technologies.Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and prioritizing patient safety.Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, with a commitment to improving patient outcomes.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations and environments.LifeStream BenefitsHealth/Dental/Vision InsuranceShort Term DisabilityPension Plan403(b)PTO (Over 4 weeks your 1st year!)Flexible Work SchedulesTuition Reimbursement ProgramFree Telehealth ServicesAnd More!Important NoticeAs part of our hiring process and in compliance with Section 435.04, Florida Statutes, certain positions require a Level 2 background screening.
