Summary:

Oversees daily operations of the Payroll Department and coordinates all payroll processing activities.

Responsibilities:

Supports performance of specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives of the Payroll Department which directly supports the strategic plan and vision of the organization.May manage staffing relations, if assigned direct reports, including performance management, staff satisfaction, scheduling, and staff performance metrics. Provides direction, orientation, training, and coaching to the direct reports using Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) Just Culture guidelines. Completes performance evaluations with Manager feedback.Researches and reports on needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.Supports and participates in annual, quarter, or monthly projects/reporting, and performs business analysis.Performs other duties as assigned.

Performs administrative work.Required Work Experience: Four (4) years' experience in Payroll Administration or Business administration.Other Information: Additional Education Info: Equivalent work experience may substitute for education requirement. Equivalency for degree: Associate's degree plus six (6) years of experience or High School diploma plus eight (8) years of experience.
