Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique background, experiences, and treatment needs. \n
- Create and implement tailored evidence-based treatment plans that reflect the cultural considerations of your patients. \n
- Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing mental health concerns and fostering skills for resilience and coping. \n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of support. \n
- Provide crisis intervention to clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, utilizing your skills to stabilize situations and offer immediate support. \n
- Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their health journey. \n
- Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with mental health regulations. \n
- Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and cultural competency sessions to continually enhance your skills and knowledge. \n
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in mental health therapy and cultural considerations. \n
Your role will primarily involve working with a diverse patient population, including individuals from varying ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those who may have limited access to traditional healthcare resources. By tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of these populations, you will help to break down barriers and promote mental health equity.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid professional license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Arizona. \n
- A solid understanding of mental health disorders and a commitment to using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. \n
- Proven experience in conducting therapy using culturally responsive techniques that address the needs of diverse populations. \n
- Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to manage challenging situations with poise and empathy. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and foster a trusting therapeutic relationship. \n
- Proficiency in EHR systems and digital communication platforms to effectively manage patient information and care. \n
- Strict adherence to professional boundaries, ethical principles, and confidentiality standards. \n
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. \n

- At least 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably within a culturally diverse environment. \n
- Experience working with marginalized communities and understanding their unique mental health challenges. \n
- Familiarity with community-based resources and referrals for patients. \n
