Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring an RN Unit Coordinator for a Full-Time night shift on our IMCU in Charlottesville, VA.

Intermediate Care Unit - Cornell 1:

The Telemetry/Stroke Unit at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital provides care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post- coronary interventions, post-ablation, myocardial infarctions. Cornell 1 also cares for TIA, acute stroke, and post procedural neuro cases that stepdown from ICU. This 30-bed unit sees a ratio of 1:5 with mixed patient acuity levels and is well supported with additional patient care technicians, educators, and a strong leadership team.

The Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service. Education

Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (required) Or

MSN (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

Registered nursing License (Required)

BLS required within 90 days of hire

Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.

Experience

18 Months of acute care RN experience(required)

Previous healthcare experience (required)

stroke tele area experience (preferred)

IMCU or ICU experience (preferred)

Previous charge nurse experience preferred
