Job Position: Metal Fabricator

Location: Valdosta, GA 31606

Pay Rate: $17.00/hr

Shift: 1st

Description:


Key Responsibilities:
• Fabricate and assemble metal components according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Perform cutting, fitting, grinding, deburring, and finishing of metal parts.
• Perform minor welding and tack welding as needed.
• Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
• Measure and inspect parts using basic measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Set up and operate fabrication equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards.
• Identify and report material, equipment, or quality issues.
• Assist with other shop duties and production tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:
• Previous experience in metal fabrication is required.
• Experience with grinding and metal finishing is required.
• Experience performing minor welding is required.
• Ability to read and understand basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
• Familiarity with common metalworking hand and power tools.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and handle metal materials and components.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with forging or hot-forming metal.
• Experience working with presses, furnaces, dies, or other forming equipment.
• Welding experience in basic/minor fabrication work.
• Experience in a manufacturing, machine shop, or industrial production environment.
• Ability to work from detailed fabrication drawings and specifications.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, lift, and handle materials.
• Ability to work around heat, noise, metal dust, and industrial equipment while following required safety procedures.
• Ability to lift and move materials and parts as required for the position.
