Lead Software Engineer - Platform AWS

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of hands-on experience.
• We are looking for strong AWS expertise, including EKS, ECS, Lambda, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and RDS.
• We need demonstrated experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting, with the ability to set expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security standards, plus experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant adoption.
• We require hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
• We are seeking advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Spring Boot.
• We expect proficiency in automation and continuous delivery practices.
• We require solid knowledge of all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• We are looking for advanced understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We value demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
• Preferred experience includes Artifactory, package management tools such as Maven, Gradle, NPM, PyPI, NuGet, and Docker, as well as GraphQL and monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk.

• We design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions, using original approaches to solve complex technical problems.
• We build secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, while maintaining validation standards and encouraging reuse of effective patterns.
• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle toolchains, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation.
• We identify opportunities to remove or automate fixes for recurring issues to improve the stability of our software applications and systems.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credibility, and fit within our existing systems and information architecture.
• We lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to raise awareness and adoption of new and emerging technologies.
