Staff Accountant Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually Full Time / In-Office Position Summary The Staff Accountant will support the Accounting Department to ensure that the business is following proper state and federal regulations. They will perform wide range of accounting tasks to ensure deadlines are met; records are accurate and assist in monthly closing. They will also prepare various reports/schedules to support the financial statements. Reports to Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager Essential Functions Prepare, process, and post journal entries to the general ledger, including recurring, adjusting, accrual, prepaid expense, and other month-end entries. Prepare monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances. Prepare account analyses and weekly/monthly schedules to support financial reporting. Review expense reports for accuracy, completeness, proper coding, and compliance with Company policies. Participate in month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, schedules, and financial analyses. Analyze account balances and financial results, investigate significant fluctuations, and provide supporting explanations. Assist with annual budget preparation and monitoring. Assist with annual audit preparation by compiling financial records, schedules, and supporting documentation. Support accounting projects, process improvements, and other financial initiatives as assigned. Provide reporting and analysis related to Power BI Perform other accounting duties and provide support to Senior Manager and the Controller as needed. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, policies, procedures, and GAAP. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Knowledge of BusinessObjects and Power BI is a plus. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and other sensitive Company information. Office environment with constant interruptions. Extended hours working with a computer display. Position requires work at a computer/video display terminal and desk for extensive periods of time. Physical Demands The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required for this position this position. Agility of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse. Hearing and speaking to exchange information. Seeing to view computer monitors and reading various documents. Requires regular twisting/turning/squatting/bending/reaching/lifting and prolonged periods at a stationary/mobile workstation.
