Automotive Technician Full-Time
Serra Champaign Automotive Group is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician to join our growing service team. We are a family-owned dealership offering long-term stability, career growth, and a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform automotive repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems
- Test-drive vehicles and use electronic diagnostic equipment to identify issues
- Communicate repair needs and time estimates clearly with Service Advisors
- Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and protect customer vehicles
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of automotive technician experience
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair software
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer, reading, and math skills
- Ability to learn new automotive technology and repair methods
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Team-oriented, reliable, and detail-focused
- Valid driver's license required
