If you're passionate about healthcare, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence, this position provides an excellent platform to advance your career in medical support services.Responsibilities:Draw high-quality blood samples from patients across all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations, ensuring safety and comfort.Prepare and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing following established protocols.Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures clearly to foster a positive and trusting environment.Maintain accurate documentation of specimen collection, processing, and related records in accordance with organizational standards.Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, professional work setting.Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely processing of lab specimens.Demonstrate leadership behaviors by adhering to process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy standards.Required Skills:Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.Proficient in venipuncture and capillary blood collection techniques.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in processing specimens and documentation.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to put patients at ease.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.Basic computer skills, including data entry and record keeping.Valid phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).Nice to Have Skills:Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or other related medical training.Experience working in retail or customer service environments.Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and specimen handling procedures.Bilingual abilities or multilingual communication skills.Preferred Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required.One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.Additional clinical, laboratory, or healthcare support training is a plus.Other Requirements:Reliable transportation to and from the work site; personal vehicle preferred over rideshare options.Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.Punctuality is essential—must arrive on time for every shift and stay for the entire scheduled duration.Ability to work in a confidential manner respecting patient privacy and data security.Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform venipuncture procedures.This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career in the vital field of clinical laboratory support.
